Begin Again

When life has

stacked its circumstances

against you,

so insurmountably high

that you can't see anything beyond,

begin again.

When disappointment
has rubbed rough salt
into your former wounds,
so that you wince
from the pressure of invisible pain,
begin again.

When discouragement
has removed the mat
from under you
and the floor,
and left you sprawled on hard dry dirt,
begin again.

When the vision
that burned beacon bright,
has dimmed
to dull intermittent glow,
begin again.

When your spirit
aches for even
a drop of living water,
to ease the torment of desert thirst within,
begin again.

Nothing is beyond you.

No dream, vision or plan

now dropped or discarded

is truly dead,

if only you can find the courage to

begin again.

You have no idea what you are capable of

 You have no idea what you are capable of,

 what talents you possess,

 what gifts and strengths.

 You have never truly flexed your spiritual muscles,
 or let out your loudest shout.

 Fear of what others might think keep you tamed and contracted,
 wanting to unwind to your full measure,
 but shy of the consequences.

 So let yourself go

 let the shout out

 let the fire fall

 let God set you free.

Peace Without Measure

 Peace without measure

 do I give you.

 My peace I leave with you
 not as the world gives
 do I give
 for they give and take it back,
 scorning the one for being afraid
 yet fearing themselves.

 Perfect love casts out fear.

 My love I give to you
 not as the world gives
 for that has become corrupt,
 and is no longer recognizable as love.

 My hope I leave with you,
 not as the world gives
 on the night the lottery is drawn.
 You could be a millionaire tomorrow,
 with all that means
 or doesn't mean.

 My grace I leave with you,
 and the world does not even understand,
 so you must learn about it through My Word.

 My peace, My love, My hope, My grace

 I leave with you

 because in this world

 you will need it.

Foundations

            You can't see the building by just looking

                 at the foundations being dug

                but you can visualize something

                   of its height and size

                           by the depth
                                   and
                               dimension
                                 of those
                               foundations.
                                You only
                                discover
                                the necessity
                                 and value
                                   of them
                                  in future
                                    days.
                                   Most
                                noticeably
                                 when the
                                   storms
                                 of life come.

          Allow God to dig a solid foundation in your life.

           Even if at first there seems nothing to show for it.

 Foundation building time is never wasted in the purposes of God.

Pressure

I feel the pressure

of the 

fallen world,

sapping my strength,

rendering me powerless

against the avalanche of information

forcing itself into my head space.

Danger, fear, power, glory

muddled up in the daily news stew.

I can

of course

choose not to partake of the toxic brew,

spewed out through screens big and small.

I could tune out,

switch off,

but the fear of missing out

is a potent force

for fragile human beings

needing to be liked or forwarded.

It seems insane that we are

under

the spell

of the little black mirror,

that can be held in our hands

as it owns our lives.

It does not tell us the truth

about ourselves 

or others

or what really matters. 

Let's turn it off for a while,

but

obviously

not

until

you

have

finished 

reading 

this.

Prophecy

Prophecy.

The Word of God

touching the will of man.

Man's struggle to surrender
and God's given grace.

Words of hope
and promise,
waiting to be grasped
and carried towards birth.

Sometimes rejected
they fall to to the ground,
waiting in expectation
for others to receive them,
and redeem them as their own
in years to come.

Generational blessing
manifested,
by those who choose
to walk on God's safe paths,
goodness and protection,
not fettered,
but free to live the fullest life.

Word of God
and will of man
in co-operation,
vision seen to birth
and growing to bear fruit.

God's Word in prophecy
carrying infinite power,
touches our mortality,

and allows us
to hold eternity in our hearts.
